Jessie and Joshua had a beautiful and unique wedding day! We loved getting to travel up to Pisgah Forest to check out Forever Home Farm for their big day.
Their Story:
Jessie’s roommate was a mutual friend of Joshua’s and they had met each other out around town a few times. ( He and Jessie actually went to the same high school but never knew each other, despite Jessie knowing his sister!). About 2 months after first meeting, Jessie went to Joshua’s birthday party at his house. Joshua grabbed her hand when she got there and they have been together ever since!!!(11 years and 3 months!)
The Proposal:
Jessie had no idea it was coming. She figured after 11 years he may just not do it, but she was still hopeful. They had planned to go on a Mountain bike ride up to Big Rock in Dupont one Sunday Morning. About 6-8 months prior, they had gone on the same ride and he took pictures of Jessie on one of the rocks with some killer views on the way up the mountain. Since it was a different season, they wanted to recreate the pictures. Jessie and Joshua made it to the spot and he had Jessie standing out on the rock. While she caught her breath, Joshua got the camera ready for the pictures (or so she thought that was all he was doing) . He was actually setting up his go pro and camera on video! Next thing she knew, he is on his knee behind her with the ring in the hand, asking her to be his wife. She said “Oh my gosh, are you serious, you’re kidding right, seriously?” for about 5 min through happy tears. Finally, he got a yes out of Jessie! She was sweaty and dirty from the ride but it was the best bike ride ever!!!
