Wedding Pictures of Cliffs Glassy Chapel + Cliffs Valley Clubhouse. Claire & Jim’s Wedding Photos by Noveli Wedding Photography
Planning a wedding from afar can be a stressful thing. Stephen and I pride ourselves on doing whatever we can to make the planning process easy for our couples and Claire and Jim were no exception. From Skype conversations, emails and phone calls, its like we had known them for years.
And this is so important because on the day of the wedding, emotions can run high and you need someone you can lean on and talk to, and its always an honor when that person is us.
Claire and Jim are so amazing and it showed everytime that would talk about one another. They also remebered the most important rule about the wedding day…have fun! From Claire and her girls goofing around in the bridal suite, to Jim and his guys getting one last Fireball shot in on the mountain side everyone came to celebrate and have fun!
Claire was in her senior year at Clemson University. Jim had moved to Anderson, SC from working in Germany. One of his new co-workers, an alumni from University of Maryland, gave him an extra ticket to the Clemson Vs. Maryland football game. We were waiting in line at Mellow Mushroom to get pizza and he sent his friend to talk to my friend. We talked and haven't stopped talking since. He walked me home to make sure I was safe then he had to walk 2 miles in the cold lost without knowing where his car was. He asked me out to ice cream, and coffee, both times I said no. He asked me to dinner a third time, I agreed, then 20 mins till he picked me up I said my dog ate chocolate and I couldn't go ( she didn't eat chocolate) . I was so nervous, finally with the encouragement of my friends, I called him back for our first date. I knew it was love then!
The Proposal Story!!
We were down with my family for fourth of July at our lake house. On Saturday July 2nd, we took the day "down memory lane". We went to our first house we built together, visited our old neighbors. Before we headed back to the lake house, we wanted to take a picture where we first met. There was a famous Tiger statue there at the Mellow Mushroom and known for a place to get pictures taken. Unfortunately when we arrived, the place had been shut down and the tiger had been removed. We got out anyway to look around. He turned to me, got down on one knee, read a poem that he wrote me and asked "Will you be my wife?" I said YES. My maid of honor got the whole thing on video!
The Wedding day was so amazing! We cannot even begin to talk about what an incredible group of vendors came together! From the perfect planning and coordinating execution by Mandy Powell and Tiffany Ford to the incredible dance party that was created by Uptown Entertainment!
It was bitter sweet to say goodbye to this wonderful couple at the end of the night, but we are so happy that they will have so many wonderful memories to cherish!
