How They Met: 

Beth and Garrett met through karate classes. Garrett had been taking for almost 20 years and Beth started classes in college. She didn’t want anything to do with dating him for 3 years because he annoyed her nonstop. Eventually, Beth came around and here they are. Beth & Garrett’s karate instructor (Marty Knight) is their wedding officiant!!

Proposal Story:

They had been talking about getting married and they had been together for a little over a year when they went ring shopping. Beth knew he had gotten the ring she wanted because Garrett is terrible at doing things conspicuously and it was right around Christmas but he didn’t propose. Then in January, Beth was having a really bad day and Garrett wanted to make her feel better and show her how much he loved her so he proposed in his living room without anyone else around even though he initially wanted to plan something bigger! It was very sweet and impromptu.
