When you have been photographing weddings for 15 years, you learn to expect the unexpected. The biggest unexpected item that usually puts a damper on things is Mother Nature. One thing Stephen and I always prep our clients on is that luck favors the prepared. So when it rains, is cold or even blistering hot, if you don't let it affect your day, then it will not matter.
In the case of Ellen and Dan's Wedding, ice cold temps came out a damper on things, but they and their family dressed for the occasions with gorgeous fur wraps, that not only kept the girls warm, but made for the perfect accessories to the dresses.
Because we do service a lot of out of town couples, we take every opportunity to get to know them and to learn more about what they want for their wedding day. After many phone calls and and emails, we were ready to meet them both in person. One thing that we appreciate and love about these two, as they have so much respect for each other, both professionally as well as romantically. It was so much fun to spend the day with them as they surrounded themselves with the warmth of their family.
And of course, they were at one of our favorite Highland Wedding Venues. They also found an incredible planner in Mint to Be Weddings. Caroline and Brittany were such a support for everyone, and we loved working with them and look forward to many more weddings together.
From the vows, to the choreographed first dance to the wonderful send off, Ellen and Dan's perfect day could not have gone any better.
