It was a dreamy day at The Rutherford celebrating the love between Anne and Bradley!
Their Story:
I had been working at Trio (restaurant in Greenville) for a few weeks and Bradley got hired on after me. We hosted together throughout the summer building a friendship. We were close friends for over two years before I started riding home to Clemson with Brad and his roommate Austin. Brad’s lease ended shortly after we started kinda “dating” and he moved in with me for the summer…. He never moved out and we’ve been dating/living together for over 6 years.
The Proposal:
I was a night shift nurse at the time and a big time fan of wine. I was being the annoying girlfriend begging for a trip to a winery. My 26th birthday was approaching and I was instructed to get off of work, take a nap (ugh), and then go to Victory Vineyards. On the way there Brad was acting sketchy as I was trying to apply make-up and hide my dead tired look. We arrived and he ditched me to run inside and figure out where the photographer was hiding while I changed out of my PJs and into a suitable outfit. Finally we’re sitting outside at a private table, drinking wine, and I can see sneakers hiding under the bushes, it was the photographer brad couldn’t find. He led me in the middle of the yard and said “you love me forever right?”, got down on one knee and put the ring on my finger. The best surprise is when we were leaving I was frantically phoning friends/family who were all too busy to celebrate with me, little did I know they were all waiting at my house. Brads family had cleaned and set up 1/2 the event while I had been napping. It was such a amazing thoughtful gesture that our friends and family met us at the house.
